Your books are stored in beancount format (standard, open-source plain text). You can export them and leave any time. PDFs are encrypted at rest. We never sell your data and never use it to train models.
The Free plan gives you access to 1 property, the hosted Fava interface, and the generation of your 2031/2033 tax filing — exactly what a landlord needs to keep clean books. The difference vs paid plans: you enter transactions and classify PDFs manually. If that works for you, it's free forever. When you tire of the manual work, the AI takes over once you upgrade to Solo.
Existing services are closed: they keep your books internally, and if you leave, you leave with nothing. We keep your books in beancount (a standard plain-text format). You can open them with any tool, version them with Git, and switch providers without losing a single entry. Our pricing is also more accessible.
